I have been sitting over the edge these past few days to see which celebrities make the cast list for Dancing with the stars 12. Well thankfully the wait if over. Last night the contestants for the 2011 version of the popular Dancing With The Stars show was revealed.
The cast list for DWTS 12 is as impressive as any we have had in the last 11 seasons.
The Dancing With The Stars 2011 Casts
Chris Jericho
If you are a big wrestling fan then you must be itching to see Chris Jericho put together some moves on the dance floor. Chris is a very popular professional Wrestler. We all know what he can do in the ring but, can he dance?
Romeo.
Romeo is a very famous rap singer who was originally a cast of DWTS season 2 before being replaced with fellow rapper, Master P. If judging by Master P’s showing in season 2, then Romeo has been set a very low standard to beat.
Kirstie Alley
Kirsty Alley has graced the siverscreens for several generations now and I have to admit a very good actress but can she tango? She has been a very good actress and even now has her own TV reality show, “Kirsty Alley’s Big Life.” I am betting she’s going to be a great dancer on the show.
Wendy Williams
Wendy Williams is a celebrity radio DJ with her own syndicated daytime radio talk show named “The Wendy Williams Show.” She is also a best-selling author. Reports indicate she is going to put her talk show on hold whiles she competes on Dancing With The Stars.
Chelsea Kane
Chelsea Kane is a Disney starlet and her inclusion in “DWTS 12″ continues the shows tendency in recent seasons to include one Disney star in the show. Kane, who legally changed her professional name from Staub to Kane in December 2010, is a star on the hit Disney show Jonas and a voice to the character Bea in the animated series, “Fish Hooks.”
Sugar Ray Leonard
He is a former professional boxing legend. As a boxer Sugar Ray has won it all. He was the first boxer to make over $100 million in the boxing ring (that’s only his purse winnings). He is following in the footsteps of several Pro athletes who have taken part in previous Dancing With The Stars seasons. I hope his footwork on the dance floor will be as impressive as that in the ring.
Ralph Macchio
Despite having played some memorable roles in shows like “Entourage” and “Ugly Betty”, Macchio is more famous for being the original “Karate Kid.” Macchio wooed the hearts of gawking teenage hearts when he starred in the 1984 version of “The Karate Kid” and the sequels that followed.
Hines Ward
It seems this season, the show is loaded with professional athletes. Ward is the third athlete to be included in this years DWTS. Hines Ward is a professional footballer playing for the Pitrsburgh Steelers. He is sure to be a good dancer on the show.
Petra Nemcova
Petra is from Czechoslovakia. She is a beautiful supermodel with one big heart. Having suffered a personal lost in the 2004 tsunami (she was caught up in the tsunami and lost her then boyfriend in the tsunami), she has set up a fund, the Happy Hearts Fund to help support children in post-disaster areas across 8 countries. Here’s to hoping she can melt our hearts too on the dance floor.
Mike Catherwood
I have to admit I had no idea who Mike Catherwood was. But after a little research, I quickly discovered he was the “Loveline” radio partner of Dr. Drew. He has been a host of the show for about a year now. He also works on other shows and muscle built. I’m pretty sure not many of you also know about him. Let’s hope we see him put on some moves in the show.
Kendra Wilkinson
Kendra was a former playmate in the Playboy Mansion before deciding to tame her wild party life for her own reality series, “Kendra”. She is married to NFL star Hank Baskett. She also starred in E!’s “Girls of the Playboy Mansion” tv series and now has a new show called, “Kendra: Bunny Next Door.” We hope her gorgeous looks will inspire some beautiful dancing
Having seen the cast, I now can not wait for the beginning of the Dancing With The Stars 2011 season.
